Boston Fire Truck
Our family took a getaway trip into Boston over the weekend, and had a really great time. I had not been to Boston for nearly 15 years, and I was surprised by how much of the city is still just as I remember.
This firetruck was outside of a Dunkin Donuts by Andrew Station and I decided to get a few shots of it, since it looks kind of different to the ones I am used to here in New York City.
My family was inside the Dunkin Donuts while I was outside getting some shots of the truck, and when they came out, they told me several people inside Dunkin Donuts were talking about me, wondering why would I want a photo of a firetruck.. haven't I ever seen a fire truck before? and more comments like that.
I think it's odd that lots of people feel the need to "see what the photographer sees" and understand why you are taking such a photo. I used to feel self conscious about this sort of thing, but not as much as I used to. I will usually just shoot what I like, and not care what others might think of it. I still wonder why it matters to them though..
